We went camping this weekend at Oscar Scherer State Park in Sarasota, Florida with some family and friends. Though Peter didn’t cook anything, I did shoot some shots that were more like snapshots than anything but it was so good that I wanted to share it here.
We missed the hobo pies that were made on Friday night, as we didn’t even get there till 11PM, so I will start with Saturday morning where we had sausage and scrambled eggs:

Then our lunch which, for canned chili, was amazing!

Than Jefferson made these AWESOME god-like ribs. seriously. the. best. in. the. world.
Pork spareribs. cooked in the Alton Brown meat smoker . I wish I could give you the step by step, as he did tell me a little bit, but I can not remember it for the life of me
but check that link and you will get the gist of it. He made a duck in it last Thanksgiving and it was just as heavenly.

I love camp food – when it’s done well! My family camps in Bryson City, Tenn., every summer and has for I don’t know how many years. We eat SO well, but we’ve never had ribs. YUM. That was a genius idea!

I love the old Coleman stove … brings back a lot of great memories. So what brand of canned chili was it? I’m assuming Bush’s, but could be wrong.
