i love meat wrapped in lettuce! it's called ssam in korean. if you can find try to use gochuang (red pepper paste) for your pork next time along with a little soy sauce, garlic and ginger. this is how doejji bulgogi ("pork fire meat") is usually made and has really great flavor.

I've only made one Emeril recipe before, and it didn't work out very well. This one looks and sounds like a real winner, though. I'm a huge fan of lettuce wraps!

Nat -- Thanks! Let us know how it turns out!

Chuck -- Yeah, very simple but great taste!

Gregory -- A cast iron pan sounds like a great tip! I'll definitely try that next time. Should give it a great sear.

Nina -- I know someone in J-Burg, and those power outages sounded really bad. Glad things have improved.

Change to cooking the pork in a cast iron pan or over a butane grill (I'm assuming this is meant for indoor prep, otherwise this would be out on the grill) and you'll have an even more Korean-tastic tasting version. Looks delicious and enjoyed the beautiful how-to photos.
