Sherpas -- Yep, but only on Saturday. Christey had a photo shoot on Friday and I was working. We bumped into Jayden and she told us you were there on Friday. I'm very, very envious of you guys meeting Thomas Keller! He's the one guy I kept missing, whom I really wanted to meet.

We want to go to Lyon, too, but I don't think Foodbuzz will pick up the plane tickets :) The Gala dinner was absolutely amazing -- we're going to post about it in the next couple days, when I get a chance to write about it.

OMG! You guys were there?????? We were there on Friday. We interviewed Hung as well as a few others, including THOMAS KELLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was unbelievable. He truly is a very modest, thoughtful man. He knows he knows his craft, but he is in no way arrogant. Video forth coming.
The competition on Friday was AWESOME. We so want to go to Lyon. So many good memories from this day. The Chefs BBQ that followed was....unforgettable.

Peter -- Yeah, he's young -- all the competitors are under 30, and I think even under 25, I have to look up the age cutoff for my next post. For all the talk about his drama on Top Chef, he does cook some really interesting stuff. He definitely knows food inside and out.

Nate -- Yes, he had a long couple days, and I also caught him at the start of the party and he left a group of friends to speak with me, so I didn't want to take up too much of his time. I'm just happy he agreed to talk -- he's a nice guy.

Hm, he wasn't as verbose or forthcoming as Chef Besh. Probably more mentally fatigued, since he'd been cooking that whole day. Nice though that you got a chance to talk with him.

That's potato around the beef? What an inspired dish!
