This recipe looks great! If I could make a suggestion..........you have great, really great pictures here and the particle board makes the overall feel very dark. Suggest you consider some other background for your site! Hope you don't mind my suggestion!

This recipe is fantastic! I couldn't find any key limes, so I used about 6 regular limes. I ended up with 1 cup of juice and I also used some of the pulp and a zest of one of the larger limes. The pie was perfect! The consistency was great and the lime flavor was intense.

@Mia: The additions are listed above under the original recipe. In the past I've added a fresh fruit like strawberries and raspberries, or canned fruit like mandarin orange to fill out the pie as well! Here's the additions to the recipe if making a pie/tart larger than 9":

For 11” tart to the above add:
1/4 cup key lime juice
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

@Dee: I don't see why you couldn't eliminate the sugar. I have not tried it, but I have seen a small handful that do not have sugar in it. Good luck!

Great recipe! If I don't want to put 1/3 cup of sugar into the crust, will it make a big difference? I'm trying to reduce my use of sugar for my diabetic boyfriend!
